"The Diary of a Human Being. Discovering the Truth. Russian Episode XXI"

Part I. Lost Truths

Part II. Motherhood. A Diary of Heaven and Earth

"Katya Medvedeva is a truly Russian talent. She loves colour, as I do." Marc Chagall

On the occasion of the ARTFORUM BERLIN, the most complete exhibition to date of the works of the remarkable Russian artist and philosopher, Katya Medvedeva, is on show in the Art Center, Berlin - colourful pictures, drawings, dolls and documents relating to the painter's life. The exhibition is of interest for adults and children, for art critics, art-historians and collectors and for all those who simply enjoy modern and classical art.

Katya Medvedeva was born in 1937 and made her first drawing when she was 39. She is the best-known naive artist in Russia today and she created the new artistic movement called Painting of the Naked Soul.

People go to Katya Medvedeva's exhibitions to enjoy her beautiful picturesque canvases and they leave them feeling as if they have visited a Temple of the Spirit. Katya Medvedeva is on some occasions referred to as an artist or genius and on others as a wise old woman, philosopher or prophet.

The pictures of Katya Medvedeva are: naive in style and absolutely sincere in their content, archaic in form and contemporary in resonance, sacred in essence and beautiful as regards their colour and composition.

Katya Medvedeva's paintings have magical power. They express tragedy and joy; they have a spiritual radiance and reflect the eternal truths of Faith, Hope and Charity. These works are something you will always remember.

This is not simply an art exhibition. "The Diary of a Human Being - Discovering the Truth - Russian Episode XXI" is a large-scale, colourful event dedicated to philosophical problems, spiritual torment and quests, to peace within and around one individual, one destiny, restored truths and the Russian Soul, within which God may dwell
