THE BOOK OF LIFE
The work of Gerald Huth deals with the "human condition", with the events and experiences of his life, as well as of the world around him. His richly-colored mixed-media workscombine oil painting, sculpture, drawing and collage. Many of them also reflect the cross-cultural influences of his extensive travels. "My goal as an artist is to fulfill the human expression of the time in which we live."
The son of a Berlin emigre family, Gerald Huth was born in New York City in 1949. He has been living in California with his family since 1985. His work has been shown extensively throughout the United States and Europe for over 30 years.
This exhibit is his first in his parents' former home, making it an important step in his artistic journey.
